How much produce can I expect?

The amount of produce you receive each week varies on the size of the share you choose. Whether you have a Traditional CSA Share or are part of the annual CSA Buying Club, in early summer we will typically have more leafy greens, spring roots, and early alliums. As the temperatures increase and days get longer, you will see the flush of your warm season crops such as tomatoes, summer squash, peppers, and more. Then when we head back into the fall which has hardy greens, root vegetables, and winter squashes. These are just a few examples of the FARMER’s bounty from each season.

Of course, we are at the mercy of Mother Nature so we cannot guarantee size and quantity of any vegetables. However, we can guarantee that we will work hard to maintain a diverse variety of vegetables each week and will never compromise our quality or growing practices.

Which share is right for me?

That’s a great question! It depends on how much you eat and cook at home. Generally, a full share feeds two vegetable loving adults who really enjoy using fresh produce or a family of four with two adults and two small children. Some questions you may want to answer: How often do you cook at home? Do you LOVE using seasonal vegetables or are you just getting into them? Are you feeding small children or growing teenagers? Still not sure, don’t hesitate to ask us! If you want more flexibility to choose what you want each week, but still want to be part of the CSA, the buying club is perfect for you!

What if I am unfamiliar with a crop?

We’ve got you covered! Part of the CSA experience is trying new vegetables, some of which may soon become your favorites. Each week we send out a weekly newsletter with what is in the traditional share, tips on how to store vegetables, and recipes for vegetables in your share. As a CSA member, you have access to our CSA Member Academy through our private Facebook group. Here, you will receive additional support in recipes from us (and your fellow members), cooking techniques, and additional storage ideas.

What if I go on vacation?

No problem. We know that CSA season also coincides with vacation season. You have a couple of options:

-Share a share with a friend and have them pick up your share while you’re away. No need to let us know of this switch, just pass along pick-up information to your friend.

Put your share on hold the week you are gone. Either pick up double the following week or switch your pick up day to another location. For these switches, please email us by 5pm Friday the week before you wish to switch. Unfortunately, because we harvest a precise number of shares each harvest day, we cannot accommodate last minute switches.

Part of the Annual CSA Buying Club? No need to let us know, don’t place an order that week.

Can I switch my location?

Yes, members can always switch their location, no problem. If you need a temporary location switch, we ask that you please do so with a 1-week notice. Members can email and schedule their location switch.

If you need a complete switch at any point in the season from one location to another, that is also no problem. Please email the farm to make a complete location switch. With the Annual CSA Buying Club, you choose each week which location works best for you when you place your order.

What happens if I’m running late or unexpectedly unable to

pick up my share or forget that it’s CSA day?

If you have not made prior arrangements for someone to pick up for you, or to switch pick up days, at our discretion, some or all of any unclaimed shares will be donated. Please note that once pick-up is over, pick-up is over. If you forget to pick up on Wednesday, that does not mean you can show up on Saturday, or vice versa. We harvested for you, it is your responsibility to be there to pick it up. We are not able to hold food for you to pick-up at a later time or day. Please call or text Liz’s cell as soon as you suspect you’ll be late or miss your pick up.

When does it start?

If I decide the CSA isn’t for me, can I get a refund?

No, we do not offer refunds on payments towards your CSA Farm Share. If you are interested in this share, but aren’t sure if the CSA style is right for you, give us a call. We’ll be happy to talk through the CSA experience with you to make sure it’s a good fit for your household. We understand that CSA Shares aren’t for everyone. We’d be happy to help guide you to other wonderful ways to enjoy our products.

Can I send a friend to pick up my share?

Sure! No need to contact us about this. Please just pass along all the information they need to ensure a smooth pick up

Do you guarantee certain vegetables for the farm share?

We do not. Because of the nature of farming and Mother Nature being in charge, we do not guarantee any crop. However, we can guarantee diversity, transparent growing practices, the highest quality, and a commitment to never compromise our regenerative growing practices. We will work diligently every season to bring you all of our seasonal favorites.

Can I request more or less of an item?

With the traditional CSA vegetable share, we curate the box for you. You’re welcome to purchase any additional items from the online store for pick up with your share. If you’re looking for more flexibility, the Annual CSA Buying Club would be for you. With that share, you can choose exactly what you would like each week.
